Once again, Metelli Group engineers have improved the OE product.
Following our analysis supported by market reports, it was revealed that the original plastic cover is subject to deformation when exposed to high temperatures inside the engine, which
causes significant damage that results in leaking coolant between the pump and the cover.
Metelli's solution is to manufacture the entire water pump, including the cover, in aluminum in order to ensure greater resistance to high temperatures.
This solution is already available for Audi - Volkswagen applications, and can be fitted to 1.8TFSI and 2.0 TFSI engines.
The pump is equipped with both a thermostat and a temperature sensor, and the codes are already available for sales.
